What better to kick off the holiday weekend than with announcing the winner of our NYSCC Supplier’s Day iPad giveaway? And the winner of our iPad give-away is…
WAIT, not just yet! We have a few other items to address first! (Just to build the suspense!)
1. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the NYSCC Supplier’s Day. We were truly overwhelmed with your support, your insight and enthusiasm,as we had 2 full days of engaging conversations with all of you, our amazing colleagues in the cosmetics and personal care industry. We are working on getting back to each and every one of you with information addressing your requests and testing questions.
2. Today is Friday, NOT ‘Fry-Day’ so here is the cosmetic industry article of the day, regarding the new joint initiative between the Environmental Protection Agency and the FDA. They have designated the Friday before Memorial Day to be “Don’t Fry Day” as part of their efforts to raise skin cancer awareness. As part of the skincare industry, we all are at the forefront of developing means to prevent this, the most common cancer in the US, so I thought you’d like to read the article. In honor of “Don’t Fry Day,” the upcoming holiday weekend/summer kick-off, here’s the article, and don’t forget your sunscreen!
3. Really, everyone is a winner, because after the show, our president, Elisabeth Fiquet, was so impressed with you all. And of course, we want to work with you! She decided to offer a special HRIPT (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) price just for those who visited our booth during supplier’s day! Details are in the email that I sent to you earlier today. It’s a huge discount, so if you have any questions, or need any help, just give me (Stefanie) a call or shoot me an email.
4. And…without further adieu, out of 256 entries, the winner of the iPad is…(Drum roll, please):
Michelle Yacovelli of Milbar Labs! Congratulations, Michelle!!
For those of you who have smartphones or tablets, I used a number randomizer app called Random Number to pick the winner. It’s free to download, for all of your number picking needs. (No need to ask your colleague across the hall to pick a number between 1 and 341 – now you can do it yourself!)
The number chosen by Random Number to determine the iPad winner was 152, and Michelle was the 152nd person to enter our draw.
Thanks again everyone! Be sure to check back here next week – we’ll be discussing the new industry regulations in Europe and how your products or business may be affected. If you want to be reminded of our blog posts, subscribe to the email updates on the right hand side of this page, or click here. I promise not to bombard you with mass emails (I hate that!) I will send one mass email per month with a digest of that month’s blog posts.
Have a great Holiday Weekend!
Best,
Stefanie
